The e-Mitra is the counter through which the services are delivered to the customers under the e-Mitra initiative, common services centers (CSC) or kiosks are setup across Rajasthan to provide different services related to the government department without the need for the people to visit the government sectors.
The name e-Mitra finds its origin in the Sanskrit word Mitra (friend) emitra.rajasthan.gov.in Portal.
OBJECTIVES OF E-MITRA Online Payment Service (e-mitra)
An e-Mitra website aims to use an online platform to aggregate all Rajasthan government information and services under one roof through centers so that citizens can overcome the inconvenience faced in moving around various officers.
E-MITRA PAY POINTS
Over 01 crore families across the state have been enrolled under the bhamashah scheme. Direct benefit transfer into the accounts of these enrolled families has been initiated. The next step in this direction is to ensure the disbursement of these cash benefits to the beneficiaries close to their doorsteps. In order to facilitate this, the state government is under the process of setting up e-Mitra pay points. E-Mitra uses a kiosk network that uses point of service or point of sale (pos) devices. These pay points will be set up by the local service providers (ISPS) to cover the unbanked areas and provide a cash disbursement facility to the residents of these areas. These e-Mitra points serve the dual purpose of not only providing the facility of cash disbursement close to the resident’s doorsteps but also provide entrepreneurship opportunity to the youth in their own village.
